Settling Down in Brasília!

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7

Oman & Pakistan
I got 2 new students from Pakistan, and one more coming next week! That will make 4 Pakistani students!  I will have 15 students.  My class really represents the nations: Namibia, Zambia, Japan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Brazil, US.

I have one new student starting soon from Oman. Oman is south of Saudi Arabia, where it is illegal to proselytize, and Islam is mandated in schools.

I’ve never had so many dried boogers in my life.  Haha!

It’s so dry here that the kids don’t get to play at recess, but the weather is beautiful!  It’s winter and daily 75 degrees!

Churrasquinho
I ate at the “shopping” again on Sunday… yummy!  Build your own pasta… like Snappy Salad but with pasta!

I ate yummy ice cream called “Flocus” (Pronounced Flaw-coos) Vanilla with chocolate chip shavings!  Thanks Raquel!  I also love the street food here!  There are "Churrasquinhos" (Pronounced "Shoe-haus-keen-yo"), Crepes (sweet and salty), and hamburger & hot dog stands everywhere. So yummy!

We learned about bug, beetle, and mammal life cycles in science.

My kids make me laugh and smile a lot!  We memorized Colossians 2:6-7 and wrote a song to help them do it!  They get so excited about learning about the Jesus. They really make me laugh, especially when they do the motions and get really into it!  I will have to make a video!

I am enrolling in a class at SENAC, like a Brazilian Community College from 10/31 – 12/5 for a sushi and sashimi class.  The class will be totally in Portuguese to help the learning process!

I love the Axworthy’s!  They took me to one of their cousin’s birthday parties and it was so great getting to know their family and playing guitar with them!  I really see how God had His hand over the whole housing situation all along.

Keep praying for:

My students to believe the Gospel and commit their lives to following Jesus, especially the Muslim students.

Transition for the new students in my class to feel safe and loved in my class!

My Portuguese endeavor!

 Continued good health and safety.
