A Taste of Miss Duke's 3rd-4th Grade Class

Lydia (our student teacher) and I led a "Slackline Club" at BIS
Here's a little taste of my class in Brasília.  We celebrated Reading Month here and at the end of the month, we had a school-wide Water Day.  The kids loved it!  We ended the day with The Cha-Cha Slide and The Cupid Shuffle... some of my favorites!  The video isn't that great, but the kids really like watching themselves, so they talked me into making them another one!

Since I have been enjoying updating my blog so much this year, I decided to make a classroom blog for my school too!  Then, I can keep in contact with my kids' parents and update the kids on their assignments, announcements, etc.  It has really been a hit!  Check it out!

The picture on the right is one of my students during "Slackline Club."  They really enjoyed learning how to slackline!  I'm not good at it... at all, but the kids loved it!

I will start doing a "BIS News Club" next week.  We will make a School News Cast and record a short news show!  I'm pretty excited!

Keep praying for:
  • Safety and Good Health
  • Spiritual Emphasis Week at BIS
  • S.M.A.S.H. Retreat (The youth retreat for the International Baptist Church that I attend on Sunday Mornings April 13-15)
  • Portuguese (My Intermediate Class at University of Brasilia ends at the end of April)
  • I am buying an old missionary car from the IMB here in Brazil and should get it soon.  Pray for the paperwork, safety, and me driving a standard... in Brazil traffic!
