"Excuse me, Ma'am, we have moved you to business class. Thank you for flying with American Airlines."
Yep! It happened.
My summer was filled with blessing after blessing. When I got back to the US, I was waiting to purchase my ticket back to Brazil because I am not going to go home over Christmas break this year and the airlines only allow for tickets to be purchased a certain number of days in advance. As I was waiting for the beginning of July to be able to buy my ticket, a very generous lady from one of Sabine Creek Ranch's Preteen Camps, whom I will leave anonymous, offered to buy my ticket to Brasília, Brazil. I was both amazed at her generosity and overwhelmed with gratitude. I honestly didn't know what to say besides, "Oh my gosh! I don't know what to say... except, thank you."
Then, when I was at the airport, the flight was overbooked and had to make some changes. At first, I was thinking that I was going to have to stay in Miami for an extra night, with alot of "perks" for the "inconvenience," but then the flight attendant at the ticket counter said, "Excuse me, Ma'am, we have moved you to business class. Thank you for flying with American Airlines."
So, for or the first time, and maybe the only time in my life, I flew first class!
One blessing from the amazingly kind and generous lady at camp, turned into an even cooler blessing and experience!

Preteen Camp Summer 2012
"I have a confession... I love camp."
This was one of the ways that we, "Dreds and Torpedo," kicked off camp this summer. We were so blessed to have an awesome band all summer thanks to Tyler, Troy, Adrian, Wrex, Rev, and Shutterfly.
We were able to launch our new CD, "He Beat the Curses," and a couple of new songs as well.
My favorite part about camp this summer was the last night of worship at each camp. Hearing the voices of children singing out to God and proclaiming so many truths about Him revealed through His word was AMAZING!

Preteen Camp #1 @ Sabine Creek |
Our prayer for the summer was for God to give the kids understanding, belief, faith, and to call them to repentance and to follow Jesus. God answered. This summer was my favorite summer so far! We ended it with a 1st and 2nd grade worship time with First Baptist Forney and have so much gratitude for putting Kevin Buie in our path! He has been such a blessing to us!
We are grateful for all of the donations that people gave, without us even asking, to our ministry! Thank you for your support - both financially and prayerfully! We loved hanging out with all of the kids, leaders, camp staff, etc. this summer! Thank you Eddie and Sarah Walker from Sabine Creek Ranch for your continued support! We can't wait to be back next summer!
Press of Missions to Paraguay
In less than 1 month, I will be headed to Paraguay to work with Rick Collins from Press On Missions. Sabine Creek did an offering at each of their camps to raise money for Rick to plant camps in Cuba. He also plants camps in Brazil, Paraguay, and other places in South America. He goes with a team to train church leaders on how to lead their own camps, so that in the future, they won't need him.
I will be in charge of training recreation leaders. In other words, I get to teach people to play games and teach them to teach games to kids! Pray for safely, good health, communication (I will have to use my Spanish, which is a little rusty), effective teaching, and for God to work in the lives of the students and the leaders that attend the camp.
Back in Brazil!
Back to school already! Check out this video for a quick tour of my classroom in Brazil. It is only about 1 minute long, so be in prayer for each of those seats that will be filled at school tomorrow. I have currently have 16 students in my class from all over the world!
