Moving to Lago Sul... Oooohhhh yeah!

Me, Joseph (8), Anne (10), Jonathan, Mia (6), and Jessica
The Axworthy's (my Brazilian family) & I are excited about some current changes!

Moving!?!  Currently, we are living in "Cruzeiro Velho."  There's nothing wrong with living in an older part of town, and we honestly have loved it because it's near all of the markets and "cheaper" areas of Brasilia.  However, we are pretty isolated from our school community, which live in "Lago Sul" and "Asa Sul."  We have been praying to find a house that is closer to our school community, free (or about the same price in rent), and bigger than our current house (3 bedroom, 2 bath, for 6 people).

It has mango trees!
Two weeks ago, we found a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house (not much larger in space, but divided better) that costs about $250 more per month, and is on 1.75 acres, and although rather large, is still in a neighborhood.  The property is full of fruit trees, vineyards, and awesome-ness!  We began the rental application process and moved last Saturday and Sunday! The lady that owns the property is very sick and put us above the other applicants.  She is a Christian and we are really wanting to bless her and be great stewards to the property while it is in our care, as we open up our home to our school community.

As we move to this new house, we recognize that there are amazing relational opportunities, financial obligations, and maintenance requirements.

Please pray about how you can join us!  Here are some of the immediate needs:

1.  A goat... or two! - We are wanting the goat to be our gardener!

2.  A fence - The property is large and only has a barbwire fence around the perimeter.  We will  need to install a more stable and protective fence for safety.

3.  A large-breed dog - Any advice?  We want a kid loving dog, yet intimidating to intruders, and nice (aka "will not eat") to our goats and chickens.

4.  A wall to close in the living room - The garage/living room needs to be closed.

5.  General Repairs - Electrical & Irrigation (basic light fixtures, washing area, shower doors, etc.)

6.  Gardening Equipment - Rakes, Pruners, Gloves, Saws, Hoses, and many other forms of equipment that I am sure I will be learning about very soon, but don't know about yet!  :)
